2011:YEAR OF WISDOM , KNOWLADGE AND UNDERSTANDING

I'm back people!

Happy 2011 and all Gods blessings as you pursue his Kingdom on earth. Even so, come Lord Jesus!

Well, one of the resolutions I have this year is to blog at least once a week. I pray that we keep the Kenyan blogosphere buzzing. It has been said that if you want to hide anything from an African, hide it in a book. That is so last Century! In this decade, the African has awoken and it is no longer time to play catch-up with the rest of the world. It is time for us not only to read books but also write them. It is time to paint the world from the 21st Century African perspective. All in favour say Aye!

I hold a degree in Literature, and I believe I have the gift of learning. So permit me to floss my wedding band with books. To begin with, let me share with you one of the most revolutionary books I came across in 2010. This book is a gem: The Law of Recognition by Dr Mike Murdok. (I’m tempted to do a complete review of the same, but im already biased! This is just a look…)

This book was written on the premise that life is governed by laws and ignorance of them is deadly. It recognizes that small changes can create great futures. The Law of Visualization, for instance, increases energy, health, even quality of friendships. The Law of Words, on the other hand, enshrines a powerful force of speaking your future into recognition. It is in this light that we view the Law of Recognition. This law is based on the understanding that everything you need or want is already in your life- merely awaiting your recognition of it. It goes on to state:

“Anything unrecognized becomes uncelebrated,

Anything uncelebrated becomes unrewarded,

Anything unrewarded eventually exits your life.’

The author, from the introduction , states that this law can:

  • Heal any wound in you

  • Unleash more enthusiasm than you have ever known

  • Unhappy memories die within you

  • Correct your focus

  • Create magnetism around you

  • Cause those in high places to pursue company and relationship with you.

  • Move you from poverty to prosperity

  • Replace your tears with laughter

  • Answer the questions buried within you for a lifetime.

Apart from the book recognizing that life is governed by laws, it notes that spiritual people do not always cooperate with the law of Recognition (Mat 8:18).The author promises that The law of Recognition will turn a life of failure into instant success. The Law of Recognition activates the laws of Preservation and Promotion. It can move you from a place of obscurity to a place of notoriety in 24 hrs.

Did you know that:

Some of the greatest gifts in your life have not yet been recognized.

God has put something close to you that you are not seeing.

Failure to recognize the gift is costing you dearly!

I am tempted to share with you all the notes I sourced form the book,(I am that inspired!), but then that would make common what the writer sought to share, apart from infringing on his copyright. Human beings, as the law of supply and the law of demand show, do not value what is common, even though it may be precious. So get the book, whether you are Christian or other. Some of the principles are universal and in their practice will make you a greater, better person.

The above notwithstanding, however, I will share with you three portions of the book in the coming weeks :

  • Recognition of your assignment

  • Recognition of an uncommon mentor

  • Recognition of the mate God has approved for you

Out of the twenty-something areas the book covers, these three, I believe, are essential for you to have a fanta-bulous 2011 and beyond. You don’t want to miss!

For now,

Shalom.
