The Power of Blessing

Hi!

Hope you have been great, as I have.

Speakign of great, Psalms 2 says "ask and I will give the nations to you, the ends of the earth as your possession..."

I have asked and keep on asking. We live in a torn world and our lives must count towards not just healing but saving the world and making it a better place...

I am amazed that divine favour had me elected the chair of a steering committee that has effect on the well-being and destinies of students all over the world.I am humbled and awed by the responsibility.

That is why I have chosen to live a life that will continually speak life in every situation. I will keep at the core of my values:
  • Faith in God Almighty,
  • Hope for a better tomorrow and
  • Love for my fellow man.

I have chosen to not only be a blessing to nations, but also speak blessings to nations, peoples and persons, as long as the LORD will enable me to do so.

So allow me to blog a lesson I have learnt from Victoria Boyson, a minister.

Happy readings!

............
Victoria speaks:

A part of giving birth to your destiny is bringing life to the destiny of others.

"A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver."
Proverbs 25:11

I once knew a young girl who seemed to have a lot going for her, but consistently failed in many areas of her life. I could not understand why – she seemed to choose failure over a successful, happy life. She was beautiful, talented and intelligent, but it was obvious that she did not esteem herself. And she continually made bad choices.

For years I could not understand why she did not see her true value as a person – until I met her mother. Her mother saw her as the biggest failure ever born and told her so. She would vomit out her many objections about her daughter to anyone who would listen to her. With her daughter present she would declare to a roomful of people what a failure she was. It did not take great discernment to see why the girl struggled so. Why should she like herself when the woman who gave birth to her did not see any good in her?

As soon as she was old enough, this young girl ran away from her mother and began living with an older man. Unfortunately, her life was poisoned by the many seeds of destruction and self-hatred her mother had been planting in her since birth.

I believe this is what Proverbs 14:1 is talking about when it says, "The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down." The girl's mother's physical house was in excellent condition, but the heritage she passed down to her child was devastating and led to her daughter living a very destructive lifestyle.

I have counselled with many people over the years who have struggled with terrible feelings of self-hatred. Usually, in the course of speaking with them, I discover that these feelings began when they were a child and many times originated with words spoken over them by a parent or other people in authority in their life.

The Tongue of the Wise

Years ago my husband and I attended a church where the pastor thought he could help his people by continually telling them what was wrong with them. He found fault with us and, of course, found fault with his entire congregation. It was no surprise to anyone that membership dwindled down to just a few people, and eventually he had to close the doors of his church entirely.

When we left that church, we were left with an ominous, oppressive sense of failure. It felt like a dagger had pierced our hearts. We struggled through life for a few years afterward, enduring one failure after another. We felt as if we were living under a curse – and, indeed, we were. The words of that pastor sowed seeds of destruction that acted as a curse over our lives.

Words are very powerful, especially when they are spoken by someone in authority over you. They can either be words of praise that breathe life into your life or words of criticism and judgement that erode away your sense of well-being. "The tongue has the power of life and death" (Proverbs 18:21).

Once we realised that the effect of this pastor's words over our lives was acting as a curse against us, we sought out ways to release ourselves from its grip. We prayed many prayers, but still this feeling of failure hung on.

It was only when we were led to another man of God who was a true shepherd that the curse was at last broken. Without knowing any of the words that had been spoken over us, he spoke the exact opposite of what had been said. He made us believe in our destiny again. He spoke life into our spirits. And through the anointing that he carried, he broke off the words of failure and planted seeds of life and destiny in their place. The power of blessing brought life to our dreams, setting us free from the power of death and destruction. Satan could no longer keep us from our destiny in God. The power of blessing blasted the power of cursing.

"Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing."
  Proverbs 12:18

When We Choose to Curse
God has a strange way of working the curses of others to our advantage. He uses them to refine us and shape us, and then He heals us through the power of His blessing.

Many people in the Bible lived what some would consider cursed lives for a period of time. David, for instance, was chased by King Saul, Joseph lived for years in prison for something he did not do, and Moses was chased into the desert by Pharaoh after living a life of luxury and ease. These are only a few examples.

Actually, God used this destructive period in their lives to shape and refine them. He promised them great blessings, but allowed them to go through the process of refining to prepare them for their destiny.
In order for Christ to fulfill His destiny, He had to suffer betrayal and be given over into the hands of his enemies. But He said in Luke 22:22, "The Son of man will go as it has been decreed, but woe to that man who betrays Him." We may have to endure a period of cursing for a time, but woe to the people who curse us.

In Psalm 109, David speaks about the man who cursed his life. "He loved to pronounce a curse – may it come on him; he found no pleasure in blessing – may it be far from him. He wore cursing as his garment; it entered into his body like water, into his bones like oil" (vv. 17-18).

When we choose to curse others and speak negatively of them, we are really only hurting ourselves. A part of birthing our own destiny is bringing life to the destiny of others. God wants to use us, but He wants to use us to bless others. Any jealousy we harbor towards the destiny of others will actually sabotage our own destiny in God.

Speaking Life
Our mouth is a very powerful weapon and we can either use it to bring a blessing or a curse onto others. When we speak negative words about people, those words act as a curse over them. Even if people never actually hear the words we speak about them, our words still have power and can cause them to experience oppressive heaviness. However, words of blessing can lift them up spiritually.

One day I was feeling exceptionally low. All of a sudden I had this wonderful feeling shoot through me. I felt a tremendous surge of pleasure and I knew everything would be all right. Later that day, a friend of mine called and said that she and her husband were talking about our family. She went on to tell me all the wonderful things they said about us. I asked her what time it was when they had this conversation and it coincided perfectly with the time I had experienced the surge of pleasure. That, my friends, is the power of blessing!

The Blessings of Heaven
One of our greatest weapons against the enemy, the devil, is the words we speak. There is no question, then, as to why the enemy seeks to gain access to our words. He wants to use our mouths to destroy our own lives and the lives of others.
"The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by Hell" (James 3:6). We can either use our mouths as a passageway for the fires of Hell to gain access to earth, or use them to put out the fires of Hell the enemy has lit in the hearts and minds of others.

You can be God's fire extinguisher. You can put out the flames of Hell with the blessings of Heaven. And wherever you go, you will be like a fountain of blessing that brings healing and life to the nations.

Instead of giving Hell's fires access to the earth, you will bring to earth the very river of life that flows from the throne of God. People will be drawn to you like magnets because of the great power of grace and mercy that radiates from your spirit. And with only a few words you will destroy the curses of generations. This is the power of blessing. This is your destiny in God.

Please pray this with me: Dear Father, I repent of speaking negative words against others, and I ask You to stamp out those words and cause them to be ineffective. I receive Your forgiveness and mercy for my sin. Make me a fire extinguisher with power from Heaven to destroy the seeds of destruction in the lives of those You love. Help me to walk in my own destiny...by blessing the destiny of others.

Making Judgments

Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not
condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be
forgiven”
(Luke 6:37).

Have you ever made a judgment about a person or situation only
to discover how wrong you were in your assessment? Such was the
case in a story told by Os Guinness in his book, The Call.

“Arthur F. Burns, the chairman of the United
States Federal Reserve System and ambassador to West Germany, was
a man of considerable gravity. Medium in height, distinguished,
with wavy silver hair and his signature pipe, he was economic
counselor to a number of presidents from Dwight D. Eisenhower to
Ronald Reagan. When he spoke, his opinions carried weight and
Washington listened.

Arthur Burns was also Jewish, so when he began
attending an informational White House group for prayer and
fellowship in the 1970s, he was accorded special respect. In fact,
no one knew quite how to involve him in the group and, week after
week when different people took turns to end the meeting in
prayer, Burns was passed by-out of a mixture of respect and
reticence.

One week, however, the group was led by a newcomer who
did not know of Burns’ status. As the meeting ended, the newcomer
turned to Arthur Burns and asked him to close the time with a
prayer. Some of the old-timers glanced at each other in surprise
and wondered what would happen. But without missing a beat, Burns
reached out, held hands with others in the circle, and prayed this
prayer: ‘Lord, I pray that you would bring Jews to know Jesus
Christ. I pray that you would bring Muslims to know Jesus Christ.
Finally, Lord, I pray that you would bring Christians to know
Jesus Christ. Amen.’

Burn’s prayer has become legendary in Washington. Not only did
he startle those present with refreshing directness, but he also
underscored a point about ‘Christians’ and ‘Christianity’ that
needs repeating regularly. It highlights another important aspect
of the truth of calling: Calling reminds Christians ceaselessly
that, far from having arrived, a Christian is someone who in this
life is always on the road as ‘a follower of Christ’ and a
follower of ‘the Way.’”*

Before you judge a situation, consider that your judgment might
not be an accurate assessment of the situation.

Life Without Stife

Hi!

Hope you are well. I bless God for all the gift that each of you is on the earth.

Allow me to share with you from the book Life without Strife by Joyce Mayer. Joyce is no nonsense or showmanship Christian Teacher of Scripture, whose ministry focus is to teach the Church and the world the character of Christ.

In this book, she teaches about strife and why we should avoid it. This, coupled with her other release, Reduce Me to Love, were instrumental in building  my foundation as a Christian in terms of building relationships and believe it or not, engaging in spiritual warfare (Do you know apart from the Blood  and the Name of Jesus, walking in love and unity are weapons that the enemy cannot overcome? Love is a weapon! In battles were I prayed and prayed and nothing seemed to change, the Holy Spirit always led me to stop  “many words” and demonstrate His love and do that continuously no matter the response. And do you know what, God always shed abroad his love to love my fellow man. (Oh, I always won, but that was just a by the way, compared to the closer walk I had with my Master. I guess we have a lot more in common with Him when we love.)

There is too much hate and strife in the world, unfortunately in Church circles too. It’s time we demonstrate more love, expecting nothing in return.

Shalom, peace and life to you.

Exposing Strife:

The spirit of strife has an assignment from hell to bring destruction everywhere it goes. We cannot see this spirit, but we can certainly learn to recognize the symptoms of its presence. I believe strife is a bickering, arguing, heated disagreement or an angry undercurrent. The dictionary defines strife as, “fighting; heated, often violent conflict; bitter dissension; a struggle between rivals; or contention.” Many a ministry and life have been wrecked because of strife than any other way.

The word of God warns in James 3:16 (Amp) :

For whenever there is jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry and selfish ambition) there will be confusion (unrest, disharmony, rebellion) and every vile practice.

A home atmosphere filled with an angry undercurrent instead of peace is an open door of rebellion for children….The book of Proverbs goes on to say that it is better to live at the corner of a rooftop, than in a wide house with a contentious woman.

Strife is at the root of so many modern day diseases, whether they be stress related, or spiritually rooted.

In Joyce Mayer’s ministry, they discuss a lot of things, but they recognize when their discussions are being affected by strife. When somebody comes to work for them, Joyce and Dave tell them during their training that they will not put up with strife. They encourage them to beware of judgment and criticism which will open the door for strife. They advise them to take their opinions to the LORD- not to other employees. They train them to walk in love with other employees and to be abundant in mercy and quick to overlook an offence.

One must not forget that strife is a spirit sent from hell to bring destruction into every area of your life, as has been seen in a previous Scripture. If you desire to walk in victory, you must learn to recognize it and begin to confront it in prayer and refuse to fuel it.

What Doors open for Strife?

There are three doors which swing open to allow the entrance of the spirit of strife:

The doors of our lips: Wrong words spoken at the wrong time can certainly start strife. The only way to stop a fire is to stop fueling it. So, over the years, I have learnt to shut my mouth. James 3:6.

Our pride: By pride and insolence comes only contention, but with the well advised is skillful and godly wisdom. (Prov 13:10) Judgment criticism, gossip and tale bearing allow strife to enter, but all these are born out of pride. Pride says, “You are defective, but I am not. “Pride demands that I have my say- I must have the last word. Notice that pride will even follow us to the prayer closet, we may be praying for others, yet we are operating out of a critical and judgmental spirit, like the Pharisees (Luke 18:10-44).Pray in peace and for peace.

Our debate: History teaches us that the Pharisees spent a lot of time debating the Scripture. As long as we think we know everything, we don’t know anything. When we believe we have a lot to learn and we stop passing opinions, it is only then that we come to a place where knowledge can begin. It’s no wonder Paul the Apostle, a one-time “Pharisee of Pharisees”, after his conversion, chose “to make a display of the knowledge of nothing, and be conscious of nothing but Christ and Him crucified” when he went to preach. It is time to preach the Gospel and let the Holy Spirit do the convicting and convincing.

No matter how strong our own opinions may be, we must be willing to let give oters a hearing with the option, “I am right, but I may be wrong.” Such an attitude gives an allowance for correction and reconciliation in the case one is in error. You'd rather lose the arguement and win a friend than vice versa... (Trust me, I know.)

There is no spiritual power without unity and harmony. Great power was manifested when the Church walked in unity. The Book of Acts in Scriptures records that “Day after day they regularly assembled in the temple with one purpose.” (Acts 2:46). The Early Church had the same vision, the same goal; they were all pressing toward the same mark. They prayed as one, “And when they heard it, they lifted up their voices together with one mind to God.” (Acts 4:24).

They not only prayed in agreement, they lived in harmony (Acts 2:44) cared for one another (Acts 2:46) cared for each other’s needs (Acts 4:34) and lived a life of faith (Acts 4:31). Their love was real, the love fo God for each other. The Church was a force when it operated in unity, but its power lessened as it split. It is for this reason that we may hunger for peace, and even be peace makers- nothing pleases the LORD more. This one thing was the main theme of Christ’s apostolic prayer recorded in John 17. The glory of the latter house shall be greater than that of the former…Amen.

Paying the Price for Peace:

Only love holds people together in unity and harmony- love, a strong decision to do whatever is necessary to stay in peace.

Paul urged the people to live in harmony:

Fill up and complete my joy by living in harmony and being of the same mind and one in purpose, having the same love, being in full accord and of harmonious mind and intention. (Phil 2:2.)

Just imagine how glorious, joy-filled lives we could have and the power available for those who pay te price to live as Jesus instructed.

What do I mean by “pay the price”?

Look at the next verse:

Do nothing from factional motives (trough contentiousness, strife, selfishness; or for unworthy ends.) or prompted by conceited and empty arrogance. Instead, in a true spirit of humility (lowliness of mind) let each regard the others better and superior to himself (thinking more highly of one another than you of of yourselves.) (Phil 2:3)

This cannot happen without being willing to be obedient to the Holy Spirit in every situation where strife presents itself. The Holy Spirit leads us into peace- not turmoil. God’s will is that they will walk in power, but there is no true spiritual power without peace.

Paul also urges the Ephesians to live in harmony:

Living as becomes of you, with complete loneliness of mind (humility) and meekness (unselfishness, gentleness, mildness) with patience, bearing with one another and making allowances because you love one another. Be eager and strive earnestly to guard and keep the harmony and oneness of (and produced by) the spirit in the binding power of peace (Ephesians 4:203, Amp)

In order to live in harmony, we have to make allowances for one another and overlook the mistakes and faults of others. The only way to do so is to walk in love. Love is self-seeking, but it has the interest of others in mind.

Strife is as a result of selfishness. It results from seeking to please ourselves—at any cost. To live in harmony, we must be willing to forgive quickly and frequently—that’s part of the price we have to pay to secure the boarders of our inheritance in Christ, apart from which, we will only partially know our victory in Christ. There is no need to be content with little waters to make our feet wet, yet there are rivers that no man can pass through available for us all, if we would only walk as Jesus walked. He demonstrated a victorious life for us to emulate.

It’s up to us; it’s up to you and me to walk in peace and holiness.  Then the full effect of our precious Salvation will be manifest.

Please note that strife not only ruins peoples health relationships and ministries, it stops the flow of the true prophetic unction (what operates in strife is not the real thing- check it out), spiritual increase, prosperity, the miraculous and all that God has for you and me. How and why? The Holy Spirit only operates where Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, reigns. Peace His primary atmosphere of operation—have you noticed that wherever Christ appeared after resurrection, he first spoke peace? When he initially sent his disciples, he commanded them to speak peace to the house where they were to reside. Consider also the Hebrew greeting Shalom...Paul completes it by stating that the Kingdom of God-the system in which God is enthroned- is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. When w walk in peace, then and only then will we will see God’s Presence and Power manifest.

For Christ’s sake, I have made up my mind, and purposed to not only walk in peace with God, myself and my fellow man, but also to be a peace maker. May His Kingdom come, and His will be done on earth as it is done in heaven.

Shalom.

Understanding our Authority II

Hi,

So this is a continuation of the precious blog.

Enjoy.

........................

Death and Life are in the Power of the Tongue:

Another area we can exercise authority in is our words. God spoke the world into existence. God is known as God the Word and Jesus the Word. "For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast." When God told Moses to speak to the rock, He was telling Moses to move in the same dimension as God-through the spoken word. When you pray, pray out loud. This allows your words to be heard by principalities and spirits, and as you speak the words they will be imprinted in your brain. When you read the Word, read it out loud. There is power in the spoken Word of God. In the New Testament, Jesus tells us to speak to the mountain! "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them." One time God led me to speak to a mountain of books in my basement and tell them to "leave!" That afternoon I received an order for three hundred books from a ministry I had no prior relationship, and this was on a Saturday! I have other friends who have been led by the Holy Spirit to do similar things. The key is to be led by the Holy Spirit to use the authority He gives us. God is not a genie in a bottle. We are led as we have fellowship with His Son and are directed by His Spirit in us. There IS power in your words.

Faith is what activates the power of God on the earth. Do you need to see God move on your behalf? Find out what He said in his Word, His covenant, and begin to pray and agree with God that whatever has been done in Heaven will be done on earth. Speak the words you need God to do on your behalf. Declare God's covenant over your situation. As we do this we will begin to see our prayers manifested in the physical realm.

Understanding Your "Inner Court" Responsibility:

"So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. Therefore I have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; and I have recompensed their deeds on their own heads," says the Lord GOD. -EZEKIEL 22:30-31
When the children of Israel committed the grievous sin of making the golden calf for an idol, Moses had to play a new role. That role was priest. He stood in the gap on behalf of the people in order to stay the execution of his own people. God was very angry, and was going to wipe them off the planet just as He did in the time of Noah. Sometimes God is looking for the individual to stand in the gap for a situation that requires judgment, which can only be averted by one who is willing to stand on behalf of the offender. Moses was willing to risk his own salvation to thwart a mass judgment. "Now it came to pass on the next day that Moses said to the people, 'You have committed a great sin. So now I will go up to the LORD; perhaps I can make atonement for your sin.' Then Moses returned to the LORD and said, 'Oh, these people have committed a great sin, and have made for themselves a god of gold! Yet now, if You will forgive their sin-but if not, I pray, blot me out of Your book which You have written.'"

Would you be willing to lose your own salvation for the benefit of another? What an amazing level of sacrifice on behalf of the people by Moses. His intercession kept the people from being destroyed. It did not forgive their sin, but it did give them time to repent themselves. This is known as identificational confession, when one person pleads before the throne on behalf of another. We identify with and confess before God the corporate sins of one's nation, people, church, or family. Every marketplace believer has a calling to be both king and priest. Like Melchizedek who was also a king and priest, we too are called to both assignments. Moses' operated as both a king and priest. He operated as a king as the leader of an entire nation. His role as a king was a very public one with the people. But he also operated as priest, going before the people on their behalf spiritually by interceding on their behalf. This does not mean we are called to vocational priestly pastorate ministry; it means we are called to intercede for those we are called to serve. We are called to lay down our lives for that worker next to us in the cubicle, that CEO who operates at the top of your cultural mountain, or that government leader who wants to change your values in your state or nation. We are called to rebuild the ancient ruins.

Jesus is Our Priestly Advocate

Jesus is our intercessor before His Heavenly Father. The word intercessor comes from the word to intercede-to intervene or mediate on behalf of another. It is a higher form of prayer on behalf of others. When Jesus was on the cross, He said, "Forgive them, for they know not what they do." He became sin for us and payment for our sins. "Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. For every high priest taken from among men is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins."

When Jesus, the world's greatest change agent, was in the Garden of Gethsemane, he asked the disciples to pray with Him and to intercede on His behalf, but they fell asleep. In many ways, this is a picture of the marketplace church. We want to see victories without doing the intercessory work. The tabernacle was a moveable house of worship that involved three distinct sections-the outer court, the inner court, and the holy of holies. The ark of the covenant housed the Ten Commandments.

The outer court was for the offering of public sacrifices by the priests for Israel. It was a very public form of ministry unto the Lord. Our work lives are our outer court expression. It is where we work unto the Lord in our calling. It is where people see and experience what we do. It is where we publicly offer what we have to the Lord through the gifting and calling upon our lives.

The inner court was called the holy place. The altar of incense was placed in the inner room of the tabernacle and was located directly in front of the ark of the covenant, separated by the veil at the entrance to the holy of holies, which housed the ark of the covenant where God's presence resided. Once a year, the high priest went into the holy of holies to atone for the sins of the nation of Israel.

Our spiritual walk with God is about living in the inner court with God versus the outer court of performance, posturing, and striving. It is there that we carry out our responsibility as intercessors for others. Oswald Chambers explains: In intercession you bring the person, or the circumstance that impinges on you before God until you are moved by His attitude towards that person or circumstance. Intercession means filling up "that which is behind the afflictions of Christ," and that is why there are so few intercessors. Intercession is put on the line of-'Put yourself in his place.' Never! Try to put yourself in God's place.

The apostle Paul understood what it meant to intercede sacrificially for those he was called to minister to: "For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off and banished from Christ for the sake of my brethren and instead of them, my natural kinsmen and my fellow countrymen. For they are Israelites, and to them belong God's adoption [as a nation] and the glorious Presence (Shekinah). With them were the special covenants made, to them was the Law given. To them [the temple] worship was revealed and [God's own] promises announced. Paul was willing to stand in the gap for others as their ambassador. Paul was more than a change agent. He understood he had to sacrifice his life for others in order for them to receive from God. Are you prepared to sacrifice on behalf of those God has called you to impact for His name? It starts in the inner court. When Jesus died on the cross and took His last breath, the veil of the temple was torn. There was no longer a barrier to God. He became the bridge. And now He is our high priest who intercedes on our behalf. If we are weak in prayer, the strongman will come into our homes and our workplaces and take what is rightfully ours. A tree best illustrates the outer court and the inner court of our lives. The tree limbs represent the outer court; intercession represents the roots. The fruit represents the degree of abiding in the Vine.

Intercession in the inner court allows the roots of our tree to go deep into the soil so that we can withstand the winds that are sure to come. Our tree can only grow bigger if we have a root system to support it. The more influence we have, the greater the storms and the greater the need for deeper roots. God will lead and be with each of us in our times of intercession. "Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God."

Intercession is not substitution for sin. Only Jesus, the Son of God qualifies to pay for sin. However, the intercession so identifies the intercessor with the suffering that it gives him a prevailing place with God. He moves the heart of God. He can even cause Him to change His mind, as in the case of Moses and the people of Israel.

The Inner Court represents the work you and I must do in intercession on behalf of those we are called to serve. We fight the spiritual battle on behalf of those who would never make it without our intercession. When I came to an awareness of this fact, I was very convicted of my own prayerlessness for my wife and for the marketplace I am called to serve. I realized I had spent much time during of my years of ministry operating from the outer court. I asked God to help me learn to be His intercessor for those I am called to redeem. If we are going to reshape cultural mountains, it will only happen if we do our inner court ministry of intercession as a priest to our marketplace.

God asks us if we are willing to stand in the gap for another. Do you need to stand in the gap for a spouse, a co-worker, a politician, a business leader, a city leader? Why not identify now who God may call you to intercede for on their behalf. Our commitment to Intercession allows us to accomplish three things:
1 Intercession allows us to internalize and deepen our ownership of the assignment.
2 Intercession forces us to sit quietly before God to clarify what we are called to.
3. Intercession catalyzes the actions needed for fulfillment of the vision by depending on the Holy Spirit to reveal our action steps.

When Nehemiah heard that the wall in Jerusalem had been torn down, it affected him at a passionate heart level. He mourned along with his people. He fasted and prayed for several days in an effort to gain understanding of what he was to do. He was led to appeal to his king to go and repair the wall. He developed a detailed plan from his prayer time and his professional expertise. He accomplished the task by being aware of the enemy's schemes to thwart his efforts by having his men work with one hand on the wall and a weapon to defend themselves in the other.

Daniel is another great example of a man devoted to prayer and excellence in what he did for a living. He was gifted with the ability to interpret dreams. This supernatural gift allowed him to break through the wall of religion in a very religious culture. God revealed "deep and hidden secrets."135 Each time he was challenged, he went to prayer for the solution to a problem and stood firm to his convictions. On two occasions, God delivered him from death. This is the model for change agents to impact their cultural mountains.

Influence will not be achieved by our entrepreneurial skills alone. It must be sourced in heaven, and carried out through a combination of the direction of the Holy Spirit in our lives and our professional expertise, which gives us the platform to operate on that mountain. God has called each of us to a purpose greater than ourselves. We are not here to fulfill our agendas or to win a popularity contest; we are here to establish the kingdom of God through our lives. Are you called to reclaim a cultural mountain as a change agent? Are you called to a specific group of people? If so, make intercession a strategic part of your focus to impact that cultural mountain. Interceding for those who control the mountain is important if you expect to gain victory.

Understanding Our Authority I

Hi!

So, I will not repost anything Miguna said, its not worth it.

Here is something every believer in Christ should be aware of.

Shalom this month of Av. May the LORD give you victory and make you a thousand times more

. G.S.
........................

Understanding Our Authority By Os Hillman

Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." -GENESIS 1:26

When Adam and Eve were created, God gave them authority to manage all matters on the earth. "The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD's; but the earth He has given to the children of men." Their sin in the garden represented a rebellious heart that desired to move from manager to owner. Satan convinced them that God was holding out on them, and he appealed to their pride to be all knowing like God.

Each of us has an innate sin nature that wants to be the boss, not just a steward of what God has entrusted to us. However, stewardship is man's role, to represent His interests and to execute His will on earth. When man sinned in the Garden of Eden, that authority was transferred to Satan. Jesus acknowledged that Satan was "ruler of this world" (John 12:31; 14:30; 16:11). He was given free rein over the earth because of man's disobedience. God's strategy to reclaim what was lost in the Garden was accomplished by sending His own Son as payment for the sins of mankind. "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost" (Luke 19:10).

It was not until Jesus came to earth and reclaimed that authority through His death and payment of sin that man could stand against the power of Satan. "For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross."

However, man has to understand his role in the reclamation process. There is a war going on for control over planet earth. Christians are to be God's redemptive tool on earth to defeat the works of darkness (1 Jn 3:8) and to manifest Heaven on earth (Matt 6:10). This war will continue until Jesus returns to earth. God Entrusts Man with Authority God made a very calculated risk when He decided not to exercise full authority over the earth. He refused to require His children to love Him. God is ultimately responsible for what happens on planet earth, but He is not to blame for all that happens, because of man's free will. Unless man exercises his authority to prevent Satan's attack, Satan will exercise his right to steal, kill, and destroy (Jn l0:10).

Covenants:

There are other things that happen on earth that is a result of man exercising the authority God entrusts to him. We are here to enforce the covenants. A covenant is anything God and Jesus have spoken on the earth in the form of a promise. These covenants are enforced through intercessory prayer. God is looking for those He can partner with to accomplish what He wants to do on the earth:

"For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him."
"Then I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest who shall do according to what is in My heart and in My mind."
"If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven..."

Standing in the Gap:

God is looking for individuals who are willing to stand in the gap to fulfill His purposes and enforce His covenants on the earth.

"So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one."

This verse is not just a reference to prayer, but an admonition that believers are to stand for righteousness in the culture so that those in that culture will not be destroyed for their sins. As God's representatives, we enforce His will through intercessory prayer, which activates the covenantal blessings of God on earth. Planet earth is currently under a 6-7,000 year lease to human beings.

Intercession involves a legal appeal process in heaven by those (you and me) who are interceding for a covenant ruling to be enforced by the landlord (God) for what has already been stated (God's covenant promises). What are some of God's covenant promises? Anything that Jesus said or modeled while He was on earth can be expected to be realized through us. These include a right to physical provision, health, peace, a life without fear. He said we would do even greater works than He did (Jn 5.20).

Jesus Lived as a Man Jesus lived with the same limitations that we live with while He was on earth. However, He appropriated what He needed on earth through His heavenly Father. He always did what He saw the Father doing through Him. He carried out the will of the Father. We are called to do the same. That is how His kingdom is manifested on the earth through each son and daughter. This is why it is so important that we each have a prayer life devoted to praying what we see the Father wanting us to pray through us.Jesus is our high priest and intercessor before the Father to enforce His covenants when we pray. As change agents, we must make this prayer discipline part of our strategy to displace principalities over cultural mountains and repel Satan's activity in our own lives and the lives of others. We have been given the power of attorney on earth to act on His behalf until He returns. Jesus said we have the keys to release His will upon the earth in matters of which He has already spoken. "And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."

Bishop J.B Masinde: Restoration of the Seven Blessings Adam Lost

Hi,

Hope you are well and recovering from a crazy Easter. 2012 rocks!

So, allow me to share with you the blessing for the year 2012, spoken by Bishop J.B. Masinde, at the Purpose Centre on the third Sunday of this year.

Baraka!

.....

I’m honored to be here, thank you for coming.

This year you are going places. Take a photograph of yourself and come with it at the end of this year.

Anybody can give you something, but it is only your father that can give you an inheritance. Mtu anaweza kupa even 200 acres, but it is only your father who can give you an inheritance.

Today, I am not preaching...I came to bleshya! Tell your neighbor, “Bishop is here to bleshya!” Wengine nitawabariki June or July, but you in January.

Turn to Revelations 5

Let me tell you about here, it started with God putting a simple word in my heart. There are God’s people who have gone through some setbacks, inasmuch as there are many who would testify of what the LORD has done.

God gave me I Samuel 30, the story of King David as he returned to Ziklag. He had gone to join the Philistine side to fight against Israel, but the Lords of the Philistines refused to allow him. On returning home, he found that he had been attacked by the Amalekites. How many of you know the Amalekites? These are the enemies who do not fight fair, they do not fight you directly but attack you from the back, stealing and cutting off your weak and especially your women and children. These are the people who had robbed David.

Last year, you could have had a setback such that all you could do is sit down and weep like David. If there is someone here with the pain of a setback. This year is going to be your year of restoration, say amen!

Restoration: God is going to restore his people in Purpose Centre because there is a journey in front of you, a journey you must complete, a battle you must fight and win!

Somebody came and told David that his people were gathering stones to kill him. Please understand that these were no ordinary people, these were his mighty ones, his ninjas, battle hardened characters… these were the ones threatening to kill him. But David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

In the name of Jesus, you are recovering all that was stolen from you!

To everyone who left the Purpose, five are coming. For every tither that left, five are coming, to every elder that left, five are coming, before the end of the year…Five, tell your neighbor five!

God shall restore you double for your trouble, enen as concerns your children. When God restored Job, he gave him double the number of livestock he had lost before. Even children. How many know that once you have a child, they are yours forever? So he had seven sons and three daughters on earth and seven sons and three daughters in heaven, since all are alive before God…Our God is a God of restoration.

Tell your neighbor, “You are getting double for your business.” The enemy should not have touched your business! But you have got to learn to do what David did: David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

The anointing oil is to break every yoke and setback. Tell your neighbor, “I refuse to play dead.” Someone has believed that Christians are passive, if you strike one cheek, all they can do is turn the other, but what about the third time? Ha! Remember, Peter wasn’t told to throw away that sword, he was told to put it aside. You are being called to take up the sword and fight.

Are there some warriors here? I release a warrior spirit in this place, receive it!

After encouraging himself in the LORD his God, David asks for an ephod. He was looking for a fresh word for his situation. He asked God, “shall I pursue? Shall I overtake?” Notice the reply, the idea of recovery was not David’s; our God is able to restore. The LORD's reply was:
Pursue
• You shall surely overtake and
• Without fail you shall recover all

This day begin to pursue. Do not begin to cry…

Tell your neighbor, “toa jam.” I am here to overtake!

God told David, in addition to what he had asked for in his prayer, that without fail, he shall recover all. And David recovered all the Amalekites had stolen, plus his two wives.

We are not leaving any hoof, a coin, even a shilling. We are getting it back!

Psalms 23:3
He restores my soul…for his names sake.

Because of His name, he can’t allow you to be broke. God’s name is very important to him. He cannot allow you to lose what you lost.

God is going to restore to you the seven blessings that Adam lost. Adam lost 7 blessings… Today, I am coming in my apostolic office.

Revelations 5:12
Saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.”

How many know that Christ is God, he does not need these, but we do…turn with me to Romans 8.

Rom 8: 16-17
The Spirit also bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God;
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

We are joint heirs with Christ. You and I are seated together with him in heavenly places. You seat where he seats…(He asks for two chairs and seats on one, and asks Pastor Zino to seat on the other.) What he gets you get. You cannot bring me a cup of tea and fail to bring him…What is mine is his and his is mine…power for power!

What Christ received on the cross, you are a co-heir with him. Tell your neighbor, “I am not just a co heir with Christ, but every blessing I receive I share with him: power for power, glory for glory, blessing for blessing."

Ephesians 1:3
Blessed be the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

Tell your neighbor, “I am blessed. It is already done. I am blessed with power and riches. Amen! (The blessing is complete, it is done, it awaits for you to access it.)

The anointing we are doing today, is to release you to the power and glory and riches that are yours in Christ.

You are to receive:
• Power
• Riches
• Wisdom
• Strength
• Honour
• Glory
• Blessing

Tell your neighbor, “I am entering the season of blessing.”

There is some glory going to be released in this house, people won’t be able to pass by!

Power:
Ability to do something.” I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Amen. God is going to give you the ability to make a difference. Shida ya waafrika is that they are willing to do good, but have no money, but that shall not be your story! Jesus said in Luke, “behold I give you power to trample over snakes and scorpions, and all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
I silence every witchcraft that has come against you, in the name of Jesus!

Power: Possessing a controlling influence. You shall possess a controlling influence over your fathers family, even if you are a girl. If you are in business, you shall possess a controlling influence in business, if you are in banking, in banking.
In Genesis, God told them that I have blessed you with power. Adam lost it. Jesus got it back and gave it to you. You could be a prisoner like Paul, but still have controlling influence over the centurion assigned to guard you, over a whole ship that is meant to take you to prison; you could be a slave like Joseph, yet have a controlling influence over your masters household, the prison system and later on , the entire kingdom. Amen.

Riches:
Abundance of material possession and resources. You cannot have a controlling influence if you do not have abundance.
The Church will have a controlling influence over this city, and this highway as a gateway to the city.

Philippians 4:19

My God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory, not by piracy, or by corruption. Amen.
Child of God, I speak angles of supply are coming your way! Every demonic power that knows your address, let them forget it. Let the angel of supply know your address. Every blessing meant for you shall come to you, it shall not go back.
I address every principality in this area, you shall not withhold the blessing of the children of God, in Jesus name!

Wisdom: Ability to apply knowledge, understanding, experience, common sense and skill. A PhD. does not give you wisdom, nor do you get wise with age; wisdom comes form God. By wisdom God made the earth. Proverbs 4:5 commands us to get wisdom and in all our getting to get understanding. The power and the riches, without wisdom, you will lose.
I pray that God gives you wisdom. May God give you wisdom. You may be young but I pray that god gives you wisdom. Let that be your portion. Nobody in Purpose Centre will walk in the path of foolishness. No brooms, no salt, you shall not pay any man of God to dream for you, you shall dream about yourself for yourself.
Wisdom tells you what to do and when to do it, wisdom will tell you, “this one run away.” You will fight another day. A woman is undressing and you are binding?
May God give you wisdom to know what to say, when to say it and when to walk away.

Strength:
Physical health.
Acts 3:7
And he took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
I address every organ and aspect of your body, no weak joint in Jesus name.
Heb. 11:11
Through faith also Sarah herself received strength and conceived seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who promised.
Therefore there sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.
From one as good as dead God raised up an offspring
.

Strength: Property of being physically mentally and emotionally sound.
I pray for strength, a healing. Tell your neighbor, “ I receive strength in every part of me.”
(We all rose up and took a step forward and jogged as a prophetic sign of strength.)
No more medical bills.
Every married couple, I decree that all your faculties are working well.

Honour: Tangible symbol that signifies approval, distinction or excellence.
There is some honour coming on this house. There is some divine approval coming your way.
“This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased.” It was only after the son was thirty, that the father publicly pronounced this about his son.
God said that you are his beloved son in whom he is well pleased.
This is your season of honour, your season of honour has come; no more shame, just distinction.

You are in Purpose, not by mistake.Decree “This is my season of honour.”

Jesus was just 30 years old, this honour is not just for old men and the elderly, it is also meant for the young. Receive it in Jesus name.

Glory:
When Adam sinned, we lost our glory. But God did not forget it, Jesus same back to take back that glory.
Psalms 8:3
When I consider the heavens, the work of your fingers the moon and the stars, which you have ordained, what is man that thou art mindful of him, or the son of man, that thou should visit him?
For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, thou hast crowned him with glory and honour.
Thou made him to have dominion over the works of your hands…

When I consider the heavens, the work of your fingers, what is man that You are mindful for him, or the son of man that you should think of him? God has all of creation, yet he focuses on you.
“or the son of man that you should visit him?” God visited you by sending His only begotten son Jesus to die for you, he did not die for whales, as big as they are.

That is why he is Emmanuel, God is with us.
“For you have made him a little lower than Elohim. And you crowned him with glory and honour.”
God crowned you with glory and honour… You are not a dog.
From today, as a father in this house, I pray may some people get a revelation of who they really are.

Don’t apologize when God glorifies you: some people will put off cigarettes at your coming; some sugar daddies will have their words choke them when they look at you. If you are the type that steals from church, you shall die. There is a day I made this declaration in Church, there were thieves in the congregation, they did not give heed. They met a lady in church and took her money. Little did they know that two plain clothes police had seen the whole thing. They called in for directions from their commanding officer, and when they had gotten out of the sanctuary and tried to steal from another, they were shot dead! Walizikwa! I did not know when I was making the declaration that the police were there. I warn every pick pocket, I warn everyone who steals offering…unanisikia? We cannot bless people to work and you come and steal their offering…If I were you I will get saved because of the glory of God, lest this day not come again.

Blessing:
See it is blessing, not blessings. A blessing is defined as the opposite of a curse. A curse is a spiritual condition that attracts bad or evil things. “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me, all the days of my life,” they are following you because you are not under a curse. You do not attract big fat flies like a mess, you attract bees and butterflies like a flower. I decree that your life will be like a magnet. You will attract the right people..

I decree that it has been sealed, in Jesus name.

The Seven Mountains of Influence

Hi!

Welcome to the month of Abib, the beginning of beginnings...He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it. Amen.

The Youth, the Marketplace and the Seven Mountains

In African Literature, a story is told of the Hare and the Hyena. One day, they decided that they wanted to be free and do their thing. So, they both agreed to kill their mothers. The hyena ate his, but the Hare went and hid his and fed her night and day. After a long time, there came a plague which no one knew how to deal with.If only they had someone of another generation to consult...

So, I have listened and listened to the message on the "Seven Mountains" for about six years,on how the Kingdoms of this world are to become the Kingdoms of our LORD and of His Christ.

The first time I heard it through a Marketplace Apostle, Lance Wallnau, on TBN's This is Your Day Show, which was being hosted by Dr. Mark Chirona. I was blown away!

Then Apostle Allan Kiuna of JCC did a series on the same in 2007, and more recently, Pastor Julian Kyula, Senior Pastor at the Purpose Centre,Nairobi, and Group CEO of Mobile Decisioning Holdings Ltd. He is a Joshua generation leader, a marketplace Apostle in his own right, with phenomena to attest to it.

But this message didn't start with them, it started some time ago, with this Man of God and others of his time.

Loren Cunningham is form another generation, a generation of "Moses" that received the blueprint on the mountain. That generation, of Billy Graham, Oral Roberts and the like, walked with God, before one could google a sermon, and continually sought His face to know his heart. If we could only listen to his generation, we'd be better placed to fight in today's battlefields!

Here is an excerpt of a transcript of his interview I found online:

Shalom, and have a happy Passover!

Transcript of Interview of Loren Cunningham on Original 7 Mountains Vision
By Loren Cunningham

(November 19, 2007)

It was August, 1975.

My family and I were up in a little cabin in Colorado. And the Lord had given me that day a list of things I had never thought about before. He said "This is the way to reach America and nations for God.And {He said}, "You have to see them like classrooms or like places that were already there, and go into them with those who are already working in those areas." And I call them "mind-molders” or "spheres”. I got the word "spheres” from II Corinthians 10 where Paul speaks in the New American Standard about the "spheres” he had been called into. And with these spheres there were seven of them, and I’ll get to those in a moment. But it was a little later that day, the ranger came up, and he said, "There is a phone call for you back at the ranger’s station.” So I went back down, about 7 miles, and took the call. It was a mutual friend who said, "Bill Bright and Vonnette are in Colorado at the same time as you are. Would you and Darlene come over and meet with them? They would love to meet with you.” So we flew over to Boulder on a private plane of a friend of ours. And as we came in and greeted each other, {we were friends for quite a while}, and I was reaching for my yellow paper that I had written on the day before. And he said, "Loren, I want to show you what God has shown me!” And it was virtually the same list that God had given me the day before. Three weeks later, my wife Darlene had seen Dr. Francis Shaffer on TV and he had the same list! And so I realized that this was for the body of Christ.

I gave it for the first time in Hamburg, Germany at the big cathedral there to a group of hundreds of young people that had gathered at that time. And I said, "These are the areas that you can go into as missionaries. Here they are: First, it’s the institution set up by God first, the family. After the family was church, or the people of God. The third was the area of school, or education. The fourth was media, public communication, in all forms, printed and electronic. The fifth was what I call "celebration”, the arts, entertainment, and sports, where you celebrate within a culture. The sixth would be the whole area of the economy, which starts with innovations in science and technology, productivity, sales, and service. The whole area we often call it business but we leave out sometimes the scientific part, which actually raises the wealth of the world. Anything new, like making sand into chips for a microchip, that increases wealth in the world. And then of course prediction sales and service helps to spread the wealth. And so the last was the area of government.

Now government, the Bible shows in Isaiah 33 verse 22 that there are three branches of government, so it’s all of the three branches: judicial, legislative, and executive. And then there are subgroups under all of those seven groups. And there are literally thousands upon thousands of sub-groups. But those seven can be considered like Caleb: "Give me this mountain,” and they can be a "mountain” to achieve for God. Or they can be a classroom that you’re going to disciple a nation in.Because Jesus said, "Go and disciple all nations.” And it also can affect us because in those areas we can be changed, transformed by the Holy Spirit to be effective missionaries into the area that God has called us into, and we will see it as not just a job to get money to stay alive, but "as the Father sent Me, so send I you,” Jesus said.

Therefore, we can be missionaries, where the word "missionary” means "one sent”, and one sent of Jesus, if you’re a lawyer in a legal office, you are sent of God. You’re sent to be his missionary, or if you’re in Hollywood, or you’re working as a dentist, or you’re working as a doctor, everything you can do for the glory of God. You may be in the area of food services. The Bible says in Zach 14:20 that even the cooking pots will be called "holy” to the Lord. That’s food services. Or transportation. Everything from a bus driver to an airplane pilot or to a car dealer or whatever it is, it says even the veils of horses will be called holy to the Lord.

So we make whatever we do, if we do it as unto the Lord, a sanctified, or a holy work, it is Holy unto the Lord. It’s not just the pulpit on Sunday, that’s one of the spheres. It’s also all the other spheres together, and that’s how we achieve advancing the kingdom of God.

Q: How can this and the next generation conquer the seven spheres? What can this generation do?

For this generation presently, it’s one of the most exciting generations. They’re about 26 and below. Some call them the "media” generation, or the "millennial” generation, or they call them "y” generation, but whatever, they are the most exciting group.

One, they are more concerned about the poor and needy than any nation that we’ve seen in a long time in the generations. They’re also global in their thinking, and they don’t think of just their own nation. And because of this, and their connectivity because of the media through IT, through the various forms of the Internet and so on, they are really connected around the world. Now when they are sparked by God, and see that God has the answers through them, to change the nations, and find out, "hey, we can do it in the category God’s already given us a gifting and a calling to”, so it call comes back to their gifts and callings. The gifts and callings of God are without repentance. And so, if they’re called into business, or called into education or called into missions and the church or whatever the category is, they can see God coming in and make a change, because we don’t have to use old paradigms, we can use the new. And this generation is going to find them, because the greatest form of communication is on us, through the Internet.

There’s never been a time like this.

The first communication was multiplied when we discovered the alphabet. The second was when we discovered the printing press, the Guttenberg press and printed the Bible, and that spread it. And the next time was the electronic when we started using telephones and radio, and then finally, the movie, to put images, and then putting it all together in television, and then together through the Internet. There’s no limit now through the internet.Billions can be communicated with.

So, through that communication form, we can challenge people that are really wanting to seek God, to go into their category, and be a missionary for the glory of God.To give one-hundred percent to their mountain of achievement--the mountain they’re claming for God, and their sphere that they’re going to fill with the glory of God, with the word of God, with the testimony of their life, allowing their life to shine, because Jesus said, "You are the light of the world. Let your light so shine that they may see your good works, and then glorify your father in heaven.” How can we shine? He’s the light of the world, Jesus is! Well, He’s in us, and through us, He can shine into every one of the spheres onto every mountain that needs to be climbed and brought into the kingdom of God. So we have the challenge for this generation that just fits perfectly and I think it’s like dry kindling ready to be set afire, and it’s going be spread about like a wildfire in a hurry and across the nations and across the internet in every form, texting and you name it, blogging and on YouTube and a lot of other tubes that are coming out, like God-tube, and there’s Yahweh, and there’s others that are coming out to give their testimony of what God is doing and then through that, beginning to effect their sphere of life.

.....

There is a generation arising, a generation of Joshuas who have been up the mountain with Moses, a generation that will take back the mountains of influence for God:

OBADIAH 1:21
"And saviors shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD'S."

Your people shall be my people...

Hi!

We are not born to serve ourselves... we are born to be servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.

We are born to be faithful, to be loyal, which is to say, to be what is not so common in our current day.

Proverbs 20:6 says,

"many a man proclaim his loyalty, but a faithful man, who can find?"

We are born to be loyal to someone else. Today, I was reflecting on Ruth 1:16, one of the key verses in my life. So I went online to see what the various commentaries had to say, and I just loved what I found in the Clarke's Commentary.

Here goes.

Baraka
......
The Targum adds several things to this conversation between Naomi and Ruth. I shall subjoin them:
"And Ruth said, Entreat me not to leave thee," for I desire to become a proselyte. And Naomi said, We are commanded to keep the Sabbath and other holy days; and on it not to travel more than two thousand cubits.
And Ruth said, "Whither thou goest, I will go."

And Naomi said, We are commanded not to lodge with the Gentiles.
Ruth answered, "Where thou lodgest, I will lodge."

And Naomi said, We are commanded to observe the six hundred and thirteen precepts.
Ruth answered, What thy people observe, that will I observe; as if they had been my people of old.
And Naomi said, We are commanded not to worship with any strange worship."
Ruth answered, "Thy God shall be my God."

Naomi said, "We have four kinds of capital punishment for criminals; stoning, burning, beheading, and hanging."
Ruth answered, "In whatsoever manner thou diest, I will die."
Naomi said, We have a house of burial.
Ruth answered, "And there will I be buried."

....

Our destinies, whether destiny in time or destiny in eternity, is determined by who we choose to not only ally with or pledge alligence to, but who we are joined to by covenant.

May we, like Ruth, know when to say thus to the right person.

And stick to it.

Shalom.

Kim Clement: This is the Year of the Youth

Hi!

Hope y'all have had a wonderful February, as i have.

Now, the following is a prophetic word by Kim Clement I just came across...

(Yep, i have just cut and pasted it...)

I praise God for the truth he shares. As he says, this is your year to do it and this is your time...

Baraka!

.........
Kim Clement: This is the Year of the Youth

Throughout Biblical history you will see that God used young people, even children, especially when adults became spiritually redundant and the only progress was to recreate history, or "bring back those good old days." Looking back has its rewards but unfortunately creates feelings of nostalgia and morbidity.

Imagine that you are driving a car up a hill... what happens to the car if you stop halfway up the hill and put the car in neutral? You slide back down the hill, erasing all your progress. No matter how many times you re-run this routine, you get the same result. What it means to be neutral, instead of engaging, is that you either stay in one place or you begin to slide down backwards, in this instance. In order to create a future for yourself and your children, you have to engage, and at times make war in times of peace. In other words, when things are stagnant and there is no progress in sight, someone has to complain and disrupt the mundane with a challenge.

A story that comes to mind from the Bible is the story of the king of Israel who was besieged by Samaria. They were eating the bare minimum, stuck behind walls and in a grip of stagnation. Anything that is stagnant contains death. Elisha the prophet disrupts their stagnancy with a word of hope and life. He claims that they will have an economic revival and breakthrough within 24 hours. This word not only receives criticism, but also a sarcastic remark from a top authority figure.

Nevertheless, someone had to respond, and it took four lepers outside of the gates of the city to decide that enough was enough, and if the prophet said it, let's move toward the promise. They walked toward the camp of the very enemy who was surrounding the Israelites, and as they got there they found that there was an empty camp with food, supplies and riches. The rest is wonderful history. You can't change your present by neutrality, and certainly not stagnancy.

You have to be dissatisfied with your present conditions, surroundings and supply of joy, peace, happiness, etc. before you will really look forward.

So inevitably, God will allow things to run their course and people will become dissatisfied. Suddenly what was once exciting, fresh and tantalizing is now boring and repetitious. You are dull and the self-environment is uninteresting, dim and blunt. You can either sit and complain for as long as you can, or you can CHANGE IT.

Make war with repetition, be at odds with dullness, spit out lukewarm-ness and start a fight with blah, blah, blah. You weren't born to be satisfied with "just enough" to keep you going. Once you've tasted of the better that is to come, YOU NEVER WANT TO GO BACK.

Imagine driving a car forward, while looking in the mirror, hoping that what is behind you will assist your progress.

Positive Velocity
If the velocity of the past is negative, then what you will experience is deceleration – something a young person does not want to experience. Retirement is not in the mind of a young person. They are constantly looking for the fruit of HOPE, in order to be nourished by it, not the seeds of fruit that have been consumed. They want to experience for themselves that they may also observe the invisible, and in so doing begin to create the image (armor, suit of clothing) that fits their makeup and personality.

King Saul of the Bible, the strong, tall adult king of Israel, stood in amazement as David, a young shepherd boy, used a simple stone and sling to destroy Israel's greatest enemy – a Philistine giant named Goliath. Prior to that happening, King Saul had commanded that his suit of armor be placed onto David, but David could not fit it onto his body. It wasn't suitable for this rugged young boy. Saul had lost the prophetic edge being rejected by Samuel the prophet, and therefore a young person had to use his childlike faith to bring excitement and morale back into the nation of Israel.

Samuel
The story of Samuel is as fascinating. He was born during a time of acute spiritual famine and corruption. Eli, the high priest of the day, had lost all connection with God and his entire household was corrupt, causing the people of Israel to sin in the temple and at the altar. The Word of God even says that "there was no open vision" in Israel due to this. Samuel, as a young boy, ministered to the Lord in the presence of Eli, and during that time, the Heaven opened up and God's voice was once again heard clearly. While Samuel lay sleeping in the temple in the presence of Eli, God spoke to him and called his name, "Samuel!" Samuel thought that it was Eli calling him so he ran to Eli and inquired what he wanted. Eli said, "GO BACK to sleep." It's amazing how dull and dim-sighted a religious spirit makes men. Eventually, when Samuel did hear God's voice, what he heard was shocking. God basically informed Samuel, the young boy, that He was going to destroy Eli and his family in order to bring an end to the stagnancy and the spiritual lack in Israel.

You have to destroy every present hindrance before you can move to your next level.

I want to give you a task to do:

Take a pen and write down every hindrance that you can see is stopping you from moving to your next level of freedom, liberty and happiness.

Spirit of Daniel
As prophesied at the beginning of the year, this is the "Year of the Youth," and the year for us to conquer our mountain. Many mountains were conquered because of youth. The mountain of religious corruption and stagnation was conquered by Samuel, in the presence of the corruption – the high priest Eli. The mountain of manipulation, intimidation and fear was conquered by young David in the presence of Goliath and King Saul. The mountain of slavery and bondage was conquered by young Daniel in the presence of the King of Babylon, as Daniel stood surrounded by hungry lions and courageously survived.

The list goes on and on. But what is important for us to understand is that if God revealed to us that He is about to cast a mantle upon the youth, then we must suppose without a doubt that there is deliverance from a certain corruption, stagnation, religious witchcraft and the grip that humanity has found itself in at this present time. We are about to conquer many mountains. What is the mountain that you wish to conquer?

This is your year to do it and this is your time.

Will you be my Valentine?

Hey!

Its valentines!

I know i know, I work so hard to come off as a prude, but hey, this one I think I will celebrate. But not in the ancient Lupercalia way...

Why the change in heart?

No, I'm not in love, not just yet.

I understood something yesternight as I was walking home (in the moonlight): my classes had been O-so tiring, my workplace o-so-new, but as I drew near to the gate of my home, I recalled this phrase by my All-together-Lovely:

"No greater love has no man than this, than a man lay down his life for his friends."

That's better than any bouquet of roses,or a box of chocolates or exclusive company of the opposite sex...

That's why I'm in red: My Saviour and King shed his read blood to cover my sin-induced nakedness with His garment of Salvation and his Robe of Righteousness...
No greater love.

As he raised his cup during Holy Communion, he was proposing to his Bride, to you and me: "I love you more than my life, I lay it down to pick you up. Will you be my Valentine, not just for the 14th of February, but for eternity?"

I know no greater love...

So,as I celebrate, my focus is on He who made red matter- My Jesus.

Happy Valentines!

A NEW DAWN IS BREAKING

Hi!

Happy new year!

Hope you are well and had a very merry Christmas and a memorable crossing over. May the LORD be favorable to you in 2012.

Recently, I came across a wonderful set of declarations from a book I was reading, Releasing the Prophetic Destiny of A Nation by Chuck Pierce and Dutch Sheets, that I think would be appropriate for this year, 2012.It is time for the Bride of Christ to arise!

This blog, which is adapted from the same, will go on to define what a decree, declaration and proclamation mean. These are key tools in taking dominion in the coming year. Then we will conclude with a shout of the eight decrees that will unlock grace for what God wants to do in us and through us in this governmental year of 2012.

Are you ready?

I wish you all Gods best in the coming year.

…………..

At the breaking of each day of a new season, we need to renew our commitment to the one who made us and has given us life.

Psalms 35:5-6 says:
“Commit you way to the LORD. Trust Him to help you do it, and he will. Your innocence will be clear to everyone. He will vindicate you as the noonday sun.” (TLB)

The word new is defined as “different from one of the same which existed before; or even made fresh.”

God is causing a new dawn to come our way, and it is our responsibility to decree, declare and proclaim so in our domain and spheres of influence.\

All through the word of God, you will find decrees, declarations and proclamations. Elijah declared that the heavens would be shut up. The priests proclaimed what God was ordaining. Cyrus the Persian King sent out a decree that rebuilt Jerusalem, and restored to the Jews their city after their captivity on Babylon, setting the stage for the Messiah; while Caesar Agustus, the Roman Emperor, centuries later, issued a proclamation of a census throughout the known world, which positioned Mary and Joseph in the place where prophecy could be fulfilled through the birth of Jesus- Bethlehem of Judah.

In the new testament dispensation, God has chosen us as the Church as a necessary link to bring His will on earth. He wants us to commune with Him, listen carefully to His voice, gain prophetic revelation and decree that revelation into the earth. This will unlock miracles and release His blessings, not only over our lives, but also upon the nations. Out of our mouths will proceed blessings. (James 3.) That’s why we need to watch what we say, now more than ever. We should only allow fresh water to flow from our fountains.

Once we hear God, we can intercede, but we can also prophesy. Prophesying is declaring His mind and His heart. It is time to take the Word of God and boldly decree, declare and proclaim it into our atmosphere.

As we speak as part of the Body of Christ, He forms his will on the earth. We should always be willing to say, “Yes and Amen” to His promises. When we can receive prophetic revelation, we need to decree that prophetic revelation.

Here are some examples of how decrees are used in scripture:

Psalms 2:7a
“I will declare a decree, the LORD has said to me…”

Job 22:27-30 (Amp)

You will make a prayer to Him, and He will hear you, and you will pay your vows. You shall decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the Light [of God’s favour] will shine upon your ways. When they make [you] low, you will say, [There is] a lifting up; and the humble person He lifts up and saves. He will deliver the one [for whom you intercede] who is not innocent; yes, he will be delivered through the cleanliness of your hands

Job 28:27
Then He saw wisdom and declared it; He prepared it, indeed, He searched it out.

So what is a decree, a declaration or proclamation?

A decree is an official order, edict or decision. Decree can also mean to order, decide, or officially appoint a group or a person to accomplish something. A decree is linked to setting apart or ordaining something or someone.

A declaration is an announcement, a formal statement, or proclamation. This statement sometimes is what a plaintiff releases in his complaint, which results in a course action.

A proclamation brings something into an official realm. A proclamation can ban, outlaw or restrict. This is linked with the process of binding and loosing.

Once we hear the word of the LORD decreed, declared and proclaimed, God begins to establish his word in the earth realm. He waits for us to come into agreement with him and speak forth His word. This causes God’s people to press in for a full manifestation of what he is longing to accomplish in your midst.

The following are eight new issues to look for in your life at this time:
1. New Relationships: May your relationship with the LORD be new and fresh, and may He supernaturally connect you horizontally with others who will cause you to come into a greater level of success.

2. New Acts: May the LORD divinely intervene in your life with signs, wonders and miracles.

3. New Identity: May His influence flow through your personality, may your soul be restored.

4. New Weapons for the War Ahead: The trumpet is sounding a new sound. Listen carefully. May you receive everything you need to defeat your enemies.

5. A New Garment of Favour to go with the Identity: May you radiate with favour and have entry way into new opportunities

6. A New Sound: May you hear the sound of victory and shout this sound from the rooftops.

7. A new Anointing: May you be anointed I a way that every yoke is broken.

8. A New Level of Authority: May you receive the ability to stand and take in dominion in the sphere of authority that you have been granted by God.

These are the things that we all should be looking for the LORD to reveal to us in a kiros time in the earth.

This is your year in God, go forth in Jesus name!

God bless you!
