As part of my January series, I bring you the second instalment from the book The Law of Recognition by Mike Murdock. Lets get down to business:
Did you know that you are here on assignment? You are not a blob of flesh that was carried for nine months and born to consume resources in the name of having fun. You have a higher calling.
I wish that you remember this as a guiding principle:
“Your assignment on earth is to solve a problem for somebody somewhere and receive a reward for it.”
No torment on earth equals the torment of living a life unrewarded for the gift and solution lying dormant within you.
10 facts that are important to know about your assignment:
1.Your assignment is always to a person or a people. (Jer 1:7 and 2Tim 1:11)
2.Your assignment determines the suffering and attacks you encounter (2 Tim 1:12)
3.What grieves you is a clue of what you are assigned to heal and restore (Nehemiah 1:3,4)
4.What you love the most determines the greatest gift you contain (Exodus 18:13,14)
5.Your assignment is geographical (Deut 12:14,26)
Who sees you determines who promotes you.
6.You will succeed when your assignment becomes an obsession
7.Your assignment will require seasons of preparation.
8.Your assignment may be misunderstood by your family, and those closest to you.
9.Your assignment will always have an enemy.
The difference between obscurity and significance is the enemy you decide to conquer.
10.Your assignment is the only place your financial success is guaranteed.
Lack is a clue that God is changing your assignment.
Recognizing your assignment will dry your tears, unload your burdens and restore joy to your countenance.
